WANT TO TEACH YOUR CHILDREN THE GIFT OF GIVING?
We have received so many phone calls from Mom's who want to get their children involved helping others but aren't sure how to go about it. How many times have you thought that your children have way too many toys laying around and they have no interest in playing with them? You might want to consider the next time you throw a birthday party for your child to talk with them about his or her expectations for their birthday party. Feel them out and see if they would be willing to give up receiving presents from their friends and instead help someone in need and donate to a charity that helps other children!
Recently we had a Mom call and her daughter was having a party. Annually they chose a charity and would focus on giving instead of receiving. This year they decided to give to International Children's Fund! All of the children bought pens, pencils, markers and all sorts of fun things and each wrote a little note of love or they drew a picture with their markers in their notebooks! It really made them feel good to give and share their gifts. What a way to make a difference in our children's lives and bless others throughout the world!
Thank you to Abby, Helena and Kai for sharing their love with the children of Africa! What an inspiration!
